An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed part time Administration Officer to join the Ashford, Canterbury & Coastal Disabled Children’s Team. This post will be based at The Rainbow Centre, Ashford however, KCC is currently operating a hybrid working arrangement so there will be the opportunity for a mix of office and home working. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager. The team supports disabled children aged from 0 to 15. 

The successful candidate will need to be highly organised and able to manage competing claims on their time. Good office skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. Part of the role will be using in-house finance systems, you should have confidence and experience with finance work and databases.  Support from team members and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
