Fixed Term Full Time - 2 Years

Are you passionate about cutting-edge prevention in health? We are excited to offer an opportunity to lead our Health and Nature initiatives in Kent. We are looking for a dynamic individual to drive forward and scale up our programme of green and blue interventions, contributing to cost-effective preventative health, while fostering an appreciation of Kent’s natural environment.

As the Health and Nature Lead Officer, you will be responsible for leading and developing strategies for green health interventions. You will work in partnership to influence and network with key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination across the health and green space sectors. Your role will involve analysing complex health and green space data to deliver targeted interventions where they are needed most. Additionally, you will be tasked with scaling up a programme of green space preventative health initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should have an up-to-date knowledge of health and nature-related research. You will need to be qualified to graduate level in an environmental or public health discipline, or possess equivalent experience. Proven project and programme delivery experience is essential, along with strong communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at a high level.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
