Are you an experienced project officer or assessor with a passion for helping people to upskill and succeed in employment?

Kent County Council is managing a government programme called Skills Bootcamps which aims to help adults to upskill or reskill to improve their career prospects and meet the needs of the local job market.

We are looking for a project officer to lead on quality control and compliance for the Kent & Medway Skills Bootcamps programme. They will monitor and undertake quality and compliance assessments of training courses delivered by external providers including the assessment of learning and teaching and ensure that they meet Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) quality expectations. The postholder will work to ensure that high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment are in place for the programme and aligned with Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) requirements as set out in its inspection frameworks. The post holder will be responsible for working with training providers to ensure high levels of learner retention, achievement, success, and progression are delivered.

The postholder will report directly to the County Education Manager for Subcontracting within KCC’s Community Learning and Skills team and be responsible for supporting Skills Bootcamps delivery partners and service providers to understand learner eligibility, funding rules, and suitable delivery content.

The post will be based in Maidstone with hybrid / remote working but there will be a requirement travel throughout the county regularly to meet with and monitor delivery partners / training provider activity.

If you’re ready to put your expertise in skills training, adult learning, assessing, and quality assurance - alongside your project management experience to excellent use, and make a real, lasting difference to the residents, businesses, and economy of Kent & Medway, then we’d love to hear from you!
