We have an exciting opportunity within Community Services, for a Team Coordinator.
This post is a 30 hour post.
This position will be primarily based at the Tonbridge Service. However, you will be expected to travel across the locality to support other services within West Kent as required. You will assist in the day-to-day supervision of staff, including the allocation of tasks, ensuring that the service meets the needs and aspirations of people accessing the services. Ensuring individuals are encouraged and supported; promoting social inclusion, including their rights and choices, to enable people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live more independent and fulfilled lives.
Experience of care and support of individuals (this can include voluntary experience and individual experiences as well as paid work), including within the public, private or voluntary sectors in the care of adults, working with people with learning disabilities is essential. You will need to have an awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities.
Experience of influencing, monitoring and evaluating the delivery of quality services and supervisory management experience are also essential for this role.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to hold an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and a willingness to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Leadership of Health and Social Care (or equivalent) in an agreed timescale.
