An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Administration Officer to join the West Disabled Children’s Team. This post will be based at Worrall House, Kings Hill, West Malling/Montague House, Tunbridge Wells. 

We are currently operating a hybrid working arrangement so there will be the opportunity for a mix of office and some home working. You will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager. The team supports disabled young people aged from 0-17.

You will need to be highly organised and able to manage competing claims on time. You will have good office skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. A key part of the role will be using in-house finance systems, therefore confidence and experience with finance work and databases is required. Support from team members and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
