Want to help us tackle waste and move towards a more circular economy?
Then join our Environment and Circular Economy division in Kent!

Our colleagues are dedicated to increasing reuse and recycling, and reducing waste across Kent so that we protect the environment whilst providing excellent and efficient services for residents. In this role you'll be responsible for delivering and monitoring projects that encourage our 1.6million residents to recycle more and better, and reduce the amount of waste they produce. All the while working with Kent-wide partners, colleagues, suppliers, and residents to achieve better outcomes together.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to apply behavioural science to make campaigns and initiatives more effective and gain experience managing varied projects within a well-funded programme of work. You will have the support of local and national experts to develop your projects and skills, challenging and rewarding work, and the flexibility and work-life balance that come from working at KCC.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

So, if you are passionate about maximising the impact of your work, have an eye for detail and enjoy working with others to understand and overcome challenges, then we'd love to hear from you.
