Are you an enthusiastic Technical Assistant looking to advance your career?
Kent County Council Facilities Maintenance Team are seeking Technical Assistants to join our expanding team.
The role is perfect for someone with a basic knowledge of building maintenance and statutory compliance and Information Technology skills with proficiency in using common office programs, such as word processors and spreadsheets, sending emails, data entry and conducting online research.
The role is permanent 37 hours a week, based at County Hall, Sessions House, Maidstone, Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Monitoring: Support the monitoring of the Hard FM operational variable budget, maintaining records and assisting with work prioritization.
- Purchase Orders: Raise purchase orders for approved Hard FM quotes promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supplier Meetings: Administer supplier meetings, taking minutes and actions as required.
- Contract Documentation: Prepare and store contract documentation, ensuring monthly performance data is reviewed.
- Project Completion: Ensure applicable handover documents are received and appropriately stored on KCC systems.
- Statutory Compliance: Raise awareness of statutory compliance activities and responsibilities.
- Customer Service: Deliver a customer-centric approach, ensuring excellent service in all interactions.
- Innovation: Continuously seek ways to improve current practices and foster an environment for innovation.
Qualifications:
- Level 2/3 qualification in administration or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Experience in Facilities Management contracts or similar.
- Experience of budget monitoring and working in a project and office environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in budget administration and monitoring processes.
- Detail-oriented with a solution-focused mindset.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of property operations, supply chains, and facilities management.
